Campus NordThe Advanced Broadband Communications Center (CCABA) is located at the D4 building of the Campus Nord in Barcelona. The research laboratory has been designed to interconnect research laboratories of the Broadband Communications (CBA), the Broadband Networks (BAMPLA), the Optical Communications (GCO) and the Radio Communications (GCM) groups in order to provide a network platform where researchers can collaborate with each other. The laboratory has an direct connection to the Academic Network (CESCA / RedIRIS) with a 1 Gigabit Ethernet link. This connection is used for experimentation and for the connection with other European testbeds and for supporting research projects on networking. A dedicated connection between this laboratory at building D4 and the one located in the Neàpolis building is provisioned through the UPC network. Campus GarrafThe Research Center on Advanced Communication Network Architectures (CRAAX) belongs to the UPC and is located at the Technological center (CTVG) in the Neàpolis building in Vilanova i la Geltrú (UPC Campus). The research laboratory has been designed by the research groups of CCABA Broadband Communications (CBA) and Optical Communications (GCO). It has been setup in November 2006 with the initial funding of the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya) with PEIR2005 contract. |
